The Hollow Atlas
★★★★★ 4.6
The Hollow Atlas is calm and lovely. You wander a hand-drawn world, filling in a map as you go and slowly piecing together what happened to the people who left. There's no combat and no timers — just curiosity pulling you forward.
Puzzles are woven into the environment rather than dropped in as separate levels, and most of them respect your intelligence. A couple got obtuse near the end, but a gentle hint system keeps you from getting truly stuck.
The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting for the mood, so play it with headphones. It's a short game, maybe four hours, but it's one of the few mobile titles we finished in a single sitting because we didn't want to stop.
